Gel Polish Nail Course

Our Gel Polish course is open to complete beginners with no experience in the beauty industry and qualified therapist who want to add to their menu of treatments.
​
Gel Polish is much loved by clients; Popular all year round, lasting 3 weeks without chipping and having a huge choice of colours, clients will often enhance their nail tidy or manicure with gel polish.
During this course you will learn nail preparation, gel application, finishing your treatment, gel removal and best practice.
Many students who are new to nails find this course easy to pick up and often move on to attending the manicure and pedicure course afterwards.

Assessment and Examination Method
There will be continuous formative assessments taking place throughout the day while you practise and take information from your trainer. Your trainers will verbally check your knowledge during the course and you will perform a gel polish treatment on a model or another student with little input from your tutor. On completion of the training day you will be expected to sit an exam on all you have learnt before you are awarded your new Diploma in Gel Polish application.

Insurance
Once you complete this training you will be entitled to gain insurance. All courses at Ohana Training are accredited and recognised by industry professionals. This not only demonstrates your commitment to the training, but also allows you to obtain Public Liability Insurance so you can start offering treatments to paying clients from home and/or mobile.
Manicure Course

Our manicure course is open to complete beginners with no experience in the beauty industry and qualified therapists who want to refresh their knowledge.
This Manicure with Specialist Hand Treatment course, demonstrates a comprehensive range of treatments you can offer your client from a basic 30 minute manicure to a full hour pampering experience. The course covers – Nail diagnosis, Nail shaping, cuticle work, hand and arm massage, Hand and Nail treatment masks, buffing, exfoliation, paraffin wax application, the use of heated mitts and Nail enamel application including french manicure.
Many students who are new to nails enjoy this course and often move onto attending the pedicure course and Gel polish course afterwards
