Our Pedicure course is open to complete beginners with no experience in the beauty industry and qualified therapist who want to refresh their knowledge.
On completing the course you will know how to carry out a basic and specialist pedicure with a range of treatments to cover all your clients’ requirements.
The course covers – Nail diagnosis, Nail shaping, cuticle work, foot and leg massage, Foot treatment masks, buffing, exfoliation, treatment of hard skin, paraffin wax application, use of heated boots, enamel application.
Many students who are new to nails enjoy this course and often move on to attending the Manicure course and Gel polish course afterwards.

Assessment and Examination Method
There will be continuous formative assessments taking place throughout the day while you practise and take information from your trainer. Your trainers will verbally check your knowledge during the course and you will perform a Pedicure treatment on a model or another student with little input from your tutor. On completion of the training day you will be expected to sit a written multiple choice test on all you have learnt before you are awarded your new Diploma in Pedicure and specialist treatments.
Insurance
When you have successfully completed your training course(s), you will receive an accredited diploma certificate issued by Ohana Beauty Training Academy. This not only demonstrates your commitment to the training, but also allows you to obtain Public Liability Insurance so you can start offering treatments to paying clients from home and/or mobile.
Waxing Course

Our waxing course is open to complete beginners with no experience in the beauty industry and qualified therapist who want to refresh their knowledge.
Waxing is one of a salons most popular treatments offered with clients returning regularly every 4-6 weeks. On this course you will be shown how to use warm wax and hot wax on body and facial areas.
This course covers face and body waxing; leg waxing, bikini waxing, underarms, facial hair, eyebrow wax.
The course will cover
-Health & Safety
-Anatomy & Physiology in relation to this professional treatment
-The background of wax, benefits, treatments, consultation, contra-indications, contra-actions, aftercare, equipment and products needed
-You will also learn the movements and techniques required to perform a professional treatment during the practical sessions on a model.
A pre course study manual will be made available prior to the course and this will contain all theory knowledge that must be known before attending the course. Upon attending the Ohana training academy your learning will be focused mainly on the practical side of learning the treatment.
